I Got a Story to tell is not just a movie that will be in theatres soon, it is a movement. Started in 2009, Starr Studded Entertainment devised away to get amazing stories without hiring high priced writers to produce them. Each month there are events from storytelling parties to showcases that allow local artists the opportunity to tell their stories through their talents whether spoken word, rhyming, singing, miming, etc. The whole idea is to get people talking about and expressing things they either go through themselves or have heard from others. They can be entertaining, empowering, disappointing, whatever, just as long as they generate conversation, dialogue, and an exchange of ideas. It’s amazing some of the things people go through or have on their mind. I Got a Story to tell creates an atmosphere that allows these people to flush out their ideas, emotions, issues, and experiences in a way that entertains instead of others becoming judgmental or offended. In the beginning, no one ever heard of a story-telling party but today there are many that are taking place and it started right here!!
